I'm sitting on the fence with this one. A tiny rise in GDP etc, does not a boom make, so I can't see how the recession can be over, but for sanity's sake we need to hope it is.
We are told that unemployment is down, yet I know from T's experience that there are still very few jobs around, and the one's that are, are not enough hours to pay rent & CT, let alone to live on.
I know from a list I found that my shopping bill has been hiked by 20%-ish in just 1 year.
Claudia wants to be married next year, but even renting will be difficult for them as average rents in our area are now over £100 pw.
It's all a bit confusing, as we live in a similar area to Stokes & others, where most industry died with the mines & potteries, yet our rents don't reflect our status.
Watching Homes under the Hammer, we see houses like our being valued at around 30-40% less than the equivilent in our area.
